Joint Healthy Pumpkin Spice Custard Recipe

There is nothing that screams fall quite like pumpkin spice and to continue on with the fall celebration you are going to love this joint healthy pumpkin spice custard recipe!  I have posted many pumpkin recipes lately, swooned over pumpkin recipes, ate lots of pumpkin, made a pumpkin spice latte an almost daily addiction and I’m convinced that God knew he was creating a good thing when he came up with the pumpkin.  In this crazy season with my daughter’s craniosynostis surgery I believe that I have found almost all pumpkin spice recipes to be that kind of comfort food that I just want to be left with to savor and enjoy as the spices dance in my mouth.  These recipes become a stress relief for me and a break from the craziness of a child having a major surgery and barely sleeping.

How to Use Facebook to Save Money on Healthy Food

Did you know that you can save money on healthy food just by connecting with others on facebook?  It wasn’t so long ago that I was trying to save money by couponing.   Unfortunately, most of the time products that can be purchased with a coupon or that can be found practically free contain fillers, sugar, preservatives, and artificial ingredients.  The truth is that most of those things are junk food.     I believe that it is true when it comes to food most of the time you really do get what you pay for.  I also believe that you really are what you eat.  So if you want to be healthy it is important to find healthy food to eat.

Even though I don’t spend much time searching for coupons anymore and I do try to leave plenty of room in the budget to pay for food.  I believe that feeding my family a nourishing diet will keep us out of the doctors office later. But, the Webb family is still on a budget and quite a strict one actually.  And, even though I allow myself for wiggle room to pay for nourishing food I am always looking for ways to save on food that really feeds us.  We want to be wise with the money that God gives us and we do not have unlimited resources to spend money as we please even on food.

I have found the most amazing sauce for my meatballs.  This gluten free sweet and spicy meatball recipe is sure to be a big hit at your next party.  It is so incredibly tasty and not too over the top spicy if you don’t like spice to kick you in the pants. Sweet Ginger Chili Sauce is so yummy and fabulous for these quick and easy crockpot meatballs.  This sauce is completely gluten free and all natural too.  I bought my tasty sauce at EarthFare or you can click the link above and find it at Amazon.  If you have a love for both spicy and sweet together you will love this sauce.  I can just imagine how genius it would be to use it as a glaze on all kinds of goodies!

This tasty dish would be wonderful for tailgating, a get together, or just to curb a meatball craving you might have.  Yum!  I would love to hear what you think!

Gluten Free: Banana Peanut Butter Muffins

I just love the sweet and salty mix of bananas and peanut butter. And, these muffins just hit the spot when it comes to that fabulous combo.  I love this recipe because you wouldn’t even know that it was gluten free.  Coconut Flour has become one of my most favorite gluten free flours to bake with because it is both very nutritious and tasty.   This recipe also contains one of my favorite natural sugars to bake with Muscovado Sugar. Muscovado Sugar is a delicious light brown sugar that tastes similar to a typical store bought light brown sugar, but contains some nutrition. If you are in need of gluten free and you love banana peanut butter muffins don’t miss out on this tasty recipe!

Gluten Free Lentil Soup

Gluten Free: Hearty Lentil Soup

This tasty meal will delight your tummy and warm you all over on a chilly winter day.  If you are looking for something tasty to try this gluten free hearty lentil soup may just do the trick.   My hubby never does know what he will find at the dinner table waiting for him and I rarely like to make a meal more than once.  I always love experimenting in the kitchen and trying out new things.  I get a little rush out of using up ingredients before they go bad and get every last ounce of nutrition from any ingredient I can find.  I try to feed my family gluten free meals as much as possible and it typically ends up being 80% of our meals.   I was just tickled to find out that this recipe that I dreamed up was yummy after feasting on it and love it that I used up all the veggies from our organic product box from last week.  This Hearty Lentil Soup Recipe turned out to be the perfect meal to fight that bite in the air on a fall September day.  There is no doubt in my mind that we will be eating this one again.

Enjoy!
