Adrenal Cocktail Recipe

Adrenal Cocktail Benefits

I added the adrenal cocktail into my diet several months ago.  At the time, I wasn't aware of its fantastic benefits.  I was in the process of deepening my knowledge of mineral balance in order to serve my clients and I didn't know yet, what kind of impact this one drink (or supplement) can have on the health of myself, my family and my clients.

The adrenal cocktail focuses the attention on whole food vitamin C, sodium, and potassium.

These three nutrients work in tandem to nourish the adrenal glands and restore the electrical action that takes place through the cell membrane.

Did you know, that 90% of the vitamin C in your body is stored in your adrenal glands to produce adrenal hormones? It also helps to stimulate the liver and create a transport protein called ceruloplasmin which regulates iron recycling.

This cocktail is a mineral bath, we are losing these mineral every single day and adding it to your lifestyle is restorative.

We lose Sodium when we are chronically stressed causing our cells to dump potassium. Low sodium means low magnesium absorption, less energy production and low resiliency.

When potassium decreases calcium goes in the cell and thyroid hormone is inhibited from being absorbed into the cell.

Taking the adrenal cocktail may increase the body's ability to handle and respond to stress since it is stress that depletes a lot of these important nutrients.

When do You Take the Adrenal Cocktail?

The adrenal cocktail is best taken around 10 am and 2 pm on an empty stomach to aid in restoring the circadian rhythm.    During these times are when healthy adrenals start ramping up and then slowing down.

Once this rhythm is restored you will start experiencing deeper, more restorative sleep.

What are the Recipes?

There are many recipes for an adrenal cocktail.  All combine a source of sodium, potassium, and a whole food vitamin C (not ascorbic acid).

Here is a pick and choose recipe::

4 ounces (of one of these) orange juice, NingXia Red, grapefruit, lemon juice, lime juice or tart cherry juice

4 ounces (of one of these) of coconut water, aloe vera juice, or 1/4 tsp of cream of tartar

1/4 tsp of Crucial Four Salt or Sea Salt

  1. Mix together all ingredients until smooth.
  2. Sip and enjoy!
